Annual Community Grants

Calling all Community Groups in Barrow upon Soar!

The Parish Council is launching a new Annual Community grant. There are 4 grants of £250 available to community groups in Barrow upon Soar.

If you are a constituted community group in Barrow upon Soar, please read the attached guidance and complete the brief application form.

Deadline for applications is 25th April!

Applications for the Annual Community Grant will not affect your eligibility to apply for a S137 grant in the 2025-26 financial year.

Following receipt and consideration of the completed application forms a maximum of 10 Groups will be invited to present their application to the Annual Parish Meeting on 29th April 2025 at 6pm in the Methodist Church. Groups will be provided with a table to promote their group/application to residents between 6 and 6:30pm. The meeting will start at 6:30pm, each group will be allocated 3 minutes to present their application to the meeting. Once all presentations have been received, residents in attendance will vote for their 4 favourite applications. Voting slips will be then collected and counted. During the count, the Chair of the Parish Council will present the Annual Report.
